Waterford Wedgwood

Waterford Wedgwood, the Irish china and crystal manufacturer with 1,900 staff in the UK, is expected to be sold out of administration to US venture fund KPS Capital.

Waterford Wedgwood is creating 140 new jobs at plants in Hanley and Tunstall, having won a £4m contract to produce tableware products for Williams-Sonoma of the US.

Waterford Wedgwood is planning to acquire Hutschenreuther, the German porcelain and giftware brand, and will transfer production to its existing Rosenthal factories.
