SK Chilled Foods is investing £1m at its Teesside-based frozen snack operations, with the creation of dozens of new jobs.

SK Chilled Foods is looking to expand its two Middlesbrough-based ready meal production sites at South Bank and Riverside Park, with an increase to the 500-strong workforce.

SK Chilled Foods is to close its spring rolls factory at Skelton on Teesside with the loss of up to 65 jobs, while its head office and 47 staff will relocate from Middlesbrough to Wynyard Business Park.

SK Chilled Foods of Teesside is planning to create 125 new jobs over the coming year to cope with rising demand for ethnic snacks and meals.
