Science City York

Science City York has secured £20m of European funding to help create up to 700 jobs over the next five years, including the creation of new business space at York University and the Sand Hutton complex.

Science City York is in talks with UK Coal to transform the 25-acre former North Selby mine into a £15m renewable energy technology centre, which could create up to 150 jobs.

Science City York is planning to invest £2.8m over the next four years, in an attempt to attract 50 new science and technology companies and up to 800 jobs to the city.
