Queens Moat Houses has sold nine UK hotels to Jefferson Hotels for about £100m, and eight of them will be leased to Rezidor SAS and rebranded as Park Inns.

Queens Moat Houses, the chain of hotels in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, is expected to be acquired by the Whitehall property fund of Goldman Sachs for about £544m.

Queens Moat Houses is to sell the 263-room Moat House hotel in Liverpool to a subsidiary of Grosvenor for £20m, as it is subject to a compulsory purchase order for the redevelopment of the Paradise Street area.

Queens Moat Houses has raised £37m in a refinancing deal, which will be used to develop marketing alliances and to add 1,200 rooms.
