NEC Computers International is creating 25 new production jobs at its Livingston factory.

NEC has sold its mobile phone factory in Telford to Celestica of Canada, and Celestica is expected to double the 460-strong workforce in order to produce phones under licence for NEC.

NEC is planning to invest a further £20m in the development of new electronic devices at its Livingston plant, helping to secure 1,550 jobs.

NEC has announced plans to invest a further £60m at its semiconductor plant in Livingston, in order to improve productivity.
