MCR, the corporate restructuring firm with 150 staff in Manchester, Birmingham and London, has been acquired by US investment bank Duff & Phelps for undisclosed terms.

MCR has sold Glenn Freight North West, the Liverpool-based haulage firm, in a pre-pack administration to Store It UK.

MCR has sold Riverside Flexibles out of administration to a company called Different Page, securing up to 31 jobs at its Somerset-based flexible packaging business.

MCR is to relocate its Manchester-based corporate insolvency office and 50 staff to the Chancery building at Spring Gardens in March, and new offices are planned for Birmingham and Leeds later this year.

MCR has sold the former Greenberg glass depot in Salford out of administration to a new company called Dakota Glass.
