Honeycombe Leisure

Honeycombe Leisure is planning to acquire Robert Cain, the Liverpool-based brewery, in a reverse takeover that will enable Cains to sell its beers in the Honeycombe chain of 100 pubs in the North West.

Honeycombe Leisure is to expand its pub estate by managing properties owned by Nectar Taverns, a privately-funded group that is looking to spend up to £11m on the acquisition of about 15 pubs.

Honeycombe Leisure is to acquire the Devonshire Pub Company for £32m, thereby gaining a further 35 managed pubs in Yorkshire and the North West.

Honeycombe Leisure has announced plans to raise £3m in a share placing in order to fund the expansion of its chain of 42 pubs.
