Homestyle is to sell its Rosebys chain of textiles stores to a management buy-out backed by Lloyds TSB for £50m.

Homestyle is to set up Kitchen Studio concessions in 54 Harveys and Rosebys home furnishing stores this year.

Homestyle Group has acquired The Bed Shed, the Scottish bed retailer with 17 stores, for an initial £4.5m.

Homestyle is planning to open up to 10 Rosebys textiles stores this year, including its first move into Northern Ireland.

Homestyle has acquired Sleepmasters, the bed retailer, for £9.2m, and has also announced plans to refurbish its 200 Harveys outlets at a cost of £17m.

Homestyle is to acquire Harveys Furnishings for £136m, and the Harveys' high street stores will be converted to the Rosebys and Knightingales formats.
