Expansys is said to be looking into the possibility of relocating the headquarters of its online technology business and dozens of staff away from Manchester.

Expansys is to acquire Data Select Network Solutions, the Buckinghamshire-based SIM card supplier, and PJ Media, the Buckinghamshire-based website developer, for a total £49m.

Expansys has sold its Portix trading division, which distributes mobile and wireless products, to Micro Peripherals for up to £1.2m.

Expansys is planning to raise £10m in a flotation on Aim this month, in order to fund the expansion of its online mobile phone retailing business.

Expansys has acquired, the Wembley-based online retailer, for £0.25m, and is now looking to establish operations in Amsterdam and Rome.
