ERF is to shed a further 67 jobs at its truck plant in Middlewich, Cheshire, following the previously-announced decision by parent company MAN to relocate production to Germany.

ERF is to relocate its Cheshire-based truck manufacturing operation to Germany, and parent company MAN is seeking an alternative use for the £28m factory in Middlewich.

ERF, the Cheshire-based truck maker, has been sold by its Canadian parent Western Star to MAN of Germany for about £110m.

ERF has reached agreement to build 2,000 trucks a year for Isuzu Motors Europe, which will create additional jobs at its plants in Sandbach and Middlewich.
