Dalgety is selling its agriculture division to a management team for £50m, and is now free to concentrate on its last remaining business - the Pig Improvement Company.

Dalgety has sold its Spillers pet food business to Nestle for £715m and its Martin-Brower US distribution business to Reyes Holdings for £120m.

Dalgety is selling its food ingredients and Spillers flour milling operations to Kerry Group of Ireland for £335m, and its wheat processing research activities to DuPont for £24m.

Dalgety Produce, the potato business, has been bought from Dalgety by management for £14.3m.

Dalgety is selling its Golden Wonder snacks operation to management, with venture capital support, for £54.6m.
