Bristow Helicopters has submitted plans to build a £7m aircraft hangar at Caernarfon Airport by 2015, with the creation of up to 35 jobs.

Bristow Helicopters is to launch an engineering apprenticeship scheme for its new air search and rescue operations in Caernarfon, Humberside, Inverness, Lee-on-Solent, Manston, Newquay, Prestwick, St Athan, Stornoway and Sumburgh.

Bristow Helicopters is to set up a new base at Inverness Airport, having won a ten-year contract to operate search and rescue operations from ten sites nationwide.
