BiFab has won a £12m contract to build two substations for RWE's Gwynt y Mor offshore wind farm, securing 350 jobs at its site in Methil.

BiFab is to invest £14m in the expansion of its Fife-based offshore manufacturing operations, having secured a £2m Regional Selective Assistance grant and sold a 15% stake to Scottish & Southern Energy.

BiFab is in talks with Scottish Enterprise about plans to invest £14m in two new factories in Methil to manufacture subsea platforms for the offshore wind sector, with the creation of up to 200 jobs.

BiFab is to create 60 new jobs at its fabrication yard in Burntisland, having won orders from Talisman Energy and Scottish & Southern to manufacture seabed support structures for two wind turbines.
