Allied Leisure

Allied Leisure has recommended that shareholders accept a £50m takeover offer from Georgica.

Allied Leisure is to acquire Waterfall Holdings for £23m, in order to expand its snooker and pool business from 100 to 155 clubs.

First Leisure is to sell its family entertainment business to Allied Leisure and Duke Street Capital for £111m, including bowling centres, the Trecco Bay caravan site, and the Snowdome ski slope in Tamworth.

Allied Leisure is set to acquire European Leisure, the nightclubs and snooker operator, for £34m, and is planning to sell off European's 52 nightclubs.

Allied Leisure has agreed terms for a merger with European Leisure, and they will focus on expanding the snooker and bowling sides of the business.

Allied Leisure has acquired Granada's 19 bowling centres for £19.8m.
