AgustaWestland has secured government funding for the expansion of its operational flight training centre at Newquay Airport.

AgustaWestland is to create hundreds of new jobs at its civil helicopters plant in Yeovil, having secured a £100m funding boost.

AgustaWestland is planning to produce a new generation of AW189 civil helicopter at its site in Yeovil, with the creation of 450 jobs and a further 1,000 in the supply chain.

AgustaWestland is to relocate its helicopter repair work and up to 80 jobs from Vector Aerospace's Almondbank site in Perthshire to its own site in Yeovil by April.

AgustaWestland is setting up a helicopter pilot training centre at Newquay Airport, with the creation of about 30 jobs.

AgustaWestland has won a £470m helicopter maintenance contract with the Ministry of Defence, which will secure 270 jobs at Search & Rescue bases and create 40 new jobs.
