Weatherford Weatherford, the oil services company, is to set up a new £19m headquarters at Altens in Aberdeen by 2008, and plans to create 500 new jobs over the next five years. 06-Dec-2006 Weatherford International has announced plans to close its QMS factory in Arbroath, which manufactures flow control products for the oil industry, with the loss of 163 jobs. 04-Apr-2003 Weatherford International is planning to shed about 200 jobs in its Aberdeen-based oil services business. 30-Oct-2002 Weatherford International, the oil services group, is to relocate its manufacturing business and up to 50 staff from Aberdeen to Arbroath, but will soon announce plans for a new research and development site in Aberdeen. 21-May-2002 Weatherford, the US oil services group, is to set up a £1.5m research headquarters at the Aberdeen Offshore Technology Park, with the creation of 12 jobs. 07-Sep-2001 Weatherford Completion Systems is to create 65 jobs at its oil-industry manufacturing sites in Arbroath and Aberdeen over the next six months, as part of a £8m capital investment programme. 19-Jan-2001 Weatherford is to create 150 jobs at a new £7.6m manufacturing facility for the oil industry in Arbroath, and a further 30 jobs will be created at a research centre in Aberdeen. 31-Mar-2000 The information above comes from the UK Activity Report Copyright UK Business Park 1995-2007
