Vestas Vestas Celtic Wind Technology has shed 40 of the 170 jobs at its wind farm components factory in Kintyre. 28-Aug-2006 Vestas-Celtic Wind Technology is to invest £1.4m in the expansion of its wind turbine manufacturing plant in Kintyre, in order to expand its product range and increase production capacity. 04-Aug-2003 Vestas is to create at least 40 new jobs at its wind turbine factory in Machrihanish, near Campbeltown, after the government announced £20m funding for a National Wind Power project in Wales and a PowerGen project in Norfolk. 03-Oct-2002 Vestas of Denmark is looking at the possibility of setting up a £50m factory in Ayrshire to make wind turbine blades, which could lead to the creation of up to 450 jobs. 19-Jul-2002 Vestas of Denmark has confirmed plans to build a £10m wind turbine manufacturing plant at Campbeltown on the Mull of Kintyre with the creation of about 100 jobs, and funding will be provided by Highlands & Islands Enterprise. 19-Jun-2001 Vestas of Denmark is planning to build a wind turbine factory at the former military airfield at Machrihanish in Kintyre, with the creation of 90 jobs. 20-Feb-2001 The information above comes from the UK Activity Report Copyright UK Business Park 1995-2007
