Ascot Holdings, the pubs and hotels group, has agreed to buy Suter, the industrial conglomerate, for £276m, and will later to decide which of Suter's businesses to keep. 26-Jul-1996 Suter has decided against closing Clearplas, the plastic auto components concern, following the promise of financial help from its major customers, Rover and Ford. 12-Mar-1996 Suter is to close Clearplas UK, which makes plastic injection moulding components for the motor industry. 06-Feb-1996
