Radio Authority The Radio Authority has awarded an FM licence to Saga Radio to broadcast to 1.6m people in the Glasgow area, and Saga will invest £2.5m in the station. 10-Nov-2003 The Radio Authority is to advertise a further 12 commercial FM radio licences early next year, including coverage of the West Midlands, Cornwall and Glasgow. 24-May-2002 The Radio Authority has awarded the digital radio licence for the West Midlands to the MXR consortium, which includes Guardian Media Group, Chrysalis, Capital Radio, Jazz fm, Psion and UBC Media. 12-Feb-2001 The Radio Authority has granted the multiplex service licence for the South Wales and Severn Estuary region to the MXR Consortium, which includes Capital Radio, Ford, Chrysalis and Guardian Media Group. 24-Jan-2001 The Radio Authority has announced plans for a new FM commercial radio station in South Wales, and licence applications should be submitted by November. 06-Aug-1999 The information above comes from the UK Activity Report Copyright UK Business Park 1995-2007
