Northwestern Shiprepairers & Shipbuilders, the Birkenhead-based shipyard with 500 staff, is to change its name to Cammell Laird by the end of the year. 25-Oct-2007 Northwestern Shiprepairers is to vacate the former Cammell Laird shipyard in Birkenhead with the loss of 32 jobs, after failing to reach agreement to extend its tenancy of the site. 02-Sep-2005 Northwestern Shiprepairers has resurrected the name of Scott Lithgow at the Inchgreen ship repair dock in Port Glasgow, and hopes to create at least 100 jobs over the next year. 26-Nov-2004
