Martin International, the lingerie manufacturer, is to be acquired by Crystal International of Hong Kong for £17m. 31-May-2004 Martin International has raised £3.7m from the sale of an equity stake to a privately-owned Hong Kong company, in order to fund the expansion of its textiles business into the US and Japanese markets. 04-Dec-2000 Martin International is to close its leisurewear factory in Shirebrook in May with the loss of up to 240 jobs, and production will move overseas. 09-Feb-2000 Martin International is to close its textiles dyeing and finishing operation in Derbyshire with the loss of up to 118 jobs. 01-May-1999
