Lola Cars is to shed an unspecified number of the 215 jobs at its sports car business in Huntingdon, as part of a restructuring programme that will involve outsourcing some of the manufacturing work. 27-Jun-2002 Lola Cars is forming a joint venture with Mayflower to manufacture sports cars at Longbridge, and negotiations are taking place with MG Rover to lease some of the land. 19-Mar-2001 Lola Cars has been chosen by Rover Group to design and build a new MG sports car to compete at next year's Le Mans race. 28-Aug-2000 Lola Cars, the racing car manufacturer, is planning a flotation in about two years, having recently diversified into automotive consultancy and composite plastics. 13-Oct-1999
