Eastman Chemical has announced plans to expand production of acetate tow at its factory in Workington over the next two years, with the creation of more than 100 jobs. 12-Sep-2006 Eastman Chemical is to close its copolyesters production plant in Hartlepool with the loss of 75 jobs, in order to consolidate production in the US. 31-Mar-2004 Eastman Chemical is considering plans to shed some of the 80 jobs at its plant in Hartlepool, as part of a worldwide reorganisation of its copolyester manufacturing operations. 06-Feb-2004 Eastman Chemical is to close its Altovar varnishes factory in Banbury later this year with the loss of 18 jobs, in order to transfer production to Belgium. 12-Apr-2002
