BWI, the packaging equipment company, has accepted a £48m takeover offer from IWKA of Germany. 11-May-1999 BWI, the packaging machinery company, is in discussions with a number of potential bidders and a deal is expected to be announced soon. 09-Apr-1999 BWI, the packaging and process machinery company, has received a number of takeover approaches, including a possible management buyout. 07-Jan-1999 BWI is to acquire RA Jones, the US packaging machinery company, for £33m, which will almost double its size and take it into new areas such as electronic packaging. 18-Jul-1998
