Acordis Acordis is to close its cellulose acetate plant in Lancaster in October, with the loss of 120 jobs. 27-Aug-2003 Acordis is investing £11m in new machinery at its Spondon plant, in order to increase the production of fibres for cigarette filters. 28-Jan-2003 Acordis has sold its Leek-based fine chemicals business to Tessenderlo of Belgium for undisclosed terms, which will involve the transfer of 90 jobs. 24-Aug-2001 Acordis is to close its viscose plant in Grimsby in May with the loss of almost 200 jobs, although the site will still employ 600 people in the production of fibre from its Tencel and Courtelle plants. 13-Feb-2001 The information above comes from the UK Activity Report Copyright UK Business Park 1995-2007
